Dracula the Panto

This ‘ISOSCELES’ production opened at the Yvonne Arnaud Mill Studio in Guildford in June 2004; it has proved to be a highly energetic success and is hugely popular with all ages. Being a spoof on the Dracula story, done in panto style, there is definitely something for everyone. With just a cast of two playing all the parts, that gives a clue as to how light-hearted the show is; and there are some great songs too!

Whose Life Is It Anyway?

By Bryan Clark
Directed by Joy Buchan

A brilliant battle of wits takes place in this extraordinary play, which is both thought provoking and funny. Ken Harrison, a successful sculptor, is paralysed in a car accident, and is kept alive by support systems in a hospital. Outwardly cheerful, and often very funny, he is becoming overwhelmed, by the fact that he has lost control of his life.

As the play begins, Ken is coming to the decision that if he cannot live as a man, he does not want to exist as a medical achievement. His doctor however, is determined to preserve Ken’s life, regardless of his view. Finally, despite pleas from his doctor, medical staff, and others. Ken invokes the law of Habeas Corpus, and a judge joins the battle to determine Whose Life is it Anyway?

THE MAN WHO LEFT THE TITANIC

By Isosceles in association with Useful Idiots

SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL…SHE WAS UNSINKABLE….SHE WAS DOOMED…

On April 15th 1912, the Titanic, the greatest ship in the world, slipped below the frigid waters of the Atlantic.

Yet J. Bruce Ismay, managing director of the White Star Line, stepped into a lifeboat and sailed away from the stricken ship, sailed away from his passengers, sailed away from the cries and screams and tears.

‘The Man Who Left The Titanic’ evokes that terrible voyage and asks whether Bruce Ismay only did what any of us might have done in the same circumstances, or should his actions that night consign his name to infamy?

Was he a coward, or merely human?

This play has toured throughout England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales for a number of years to enormous acclaim.
